What is escape velocity?
Escape velocity is the amount of speed an object needs to escape the gravitational pull of another object. For example, the amount of speed a rocket needs to leave the Earth!
Why are Vampire Bats Called Vampire Bats?
Vampire bats land on animals such as cows and bite them with their super sharp teeth. Upon doing this they are injecting a protien called draculin, found in the bat's saliva, into the animal. This protien prevents blood from clotting and allows the vampire bat to keep drinking for as long as it wants!
What's the difference between an arm and a tentacle?
When refering to animals such as octopuses and squids, an arm is an appendage with suckers all along it, while a tentacle is an appendage that only has suckers at the end in a larger section called a tentacle club. Octopuses have arms, while squids have a combination of arms and tentacles.
